ELIC's Camp Programs are about change: a change in continents, a change of scenery, a change in sights, sounds, smells and food. More importantly it is a change of your worldview, a change in your life, and changes in the lives of those you serve. See, smell, hear, taste and feel the change that will happen spending five unforgettable weeks investing every last ounce of you into the lives of 16-20 Asian teenagers. Since 1985, over 4,000 North Americans have gone with ELIC's Summer Teaching Program to China and Mongolia to dedicate their summer to answer the call to not just teach English, but impact countless lives. STP has become a strategic component to the success of all ELIC's programs. The Chinese and Mongolian governments view these programs as a key initiative: to bring the English language to young students through the training of qualified school teachers. These teachers need on-going training to master the English language, and that’s where STP comes in. This program provides intensive English training to Asian English teachers. By sending qualified teachers to train teachers, STP teachers are impacting the people of China and Mongolia in a real and lasting way.
