What Will I Do?
A group of 16-20 high school and middle schools students eagerly await your arrival. They will view you as a North American celebrity. Because of their enthusiasm to spend time learning about you, it will be hard to find some down time of your own. The reward is worth it! Because the relationships formed and friendships you will make are worth it.
What you need most is a heart to serve and everything else will come naturally.
You will find the teaching of conversational English both challenging and rewarding. The Camp Programs curriculum will provide the general structure for your classes which meet every weekday morning for about three hours. Your afternoons will be filled with an array of programs and activities outside of the class: from field trips to sports, skits and presentations. You will be encouraged as you observe the progress in your students’ English speaking abilities through these fun activities.
Teaching experience is not a requirement to participate on Camp.
"Camp China was a month full of rewarding moments, frustrating tears, cultural adventures and unforgettable memories." - Anna Breckenridge, Camp alum
