• July 2nd: Depart North America for Hong Kong! Begin training for one week with your team
• July 7th: Camp teams travel to China or Vietnam. Engage teams remain in Hong Kong
• July 12th: Conversational English camps begin!
• July 30th: Final day of English camps
• August 1st: A day of reflection and preparation
• August 3rd: Camp teams return to North America. Engage teams travel to new location in Asia
• August 8th: Engage teams return to North America

$2,780 U.S. & CANADIAN

ELIC strives to take excellent care for you by arranging the details for your trip, including international travel, medical coverage (with evacuation insurance), visas, and a curriculum designed by our professional teachers. We ask that you raise funds to cover these costs (reflected in the profile above). We will work with you on a one-on-one basis in finding the best way to raise the funds for your trip.  You are also encouraged to bring classroom materials and costume pieces (for culture nights). The school you teach at will provide food, housing, and local transportation.

What this includes:

• All travel (transportation from your closest major city to Asia, in-country transportation during the summer, and transportation back to North America)
• Full medical coverage during your trip (includes evacuation insurance)
• Food and housing throughout your trip (provided by your school during the English camp)
• Resources, including a curriculum designed by professional ELIC teachers and information about your teaching location
• Administrative support, including donor receipting and the obtaining of necessary visas

Other optional expenses not included:

• Spending money ($200-400 suggested)
• Extra classroom materials ($30 approximately)
• Obtaining a passport ($90 for first-time applicants)
