Overview
Lee
University’s Master of Education embodies the
developmental process of becoming a teacher by
encouraging self analysis and reflection and
facilitating passage toward higher levels of excellence
in teaching. This degree program is available for those
who hold a Bachelor of Arts in Education and/or who have
licensure to teach.
This program
can be completed through three intensive summer sessions
on Lee University’s campus, two intensive mid-winter
break sessions, and four units of distance learning
classes to be completed while teaching in the country of
assignment. These distance learning courses offered
during the academic year will be of two types: directed
studies supervised by Lee faculty, and practicum
experiences.
Prerequisites
An
undergraduate degree with a minimum 2.75 grade-point
average on a 4.0 scale is required for admission. In
addition, applicants must score at the 35th percentile
on either the Miller Analogies Test (MAT) or the
Graduate Record Examination (GRE). Provisional admission
may be granted for applicants who do not meet these

Requirements
Students must complete a minimum of 34 units for the
Master of Education degree.
Credits from the TEFL Certificate awarded after ELIC's
August training are transferable for credit into this
degree program
