Intercultural Studies
  Overview
Wheaton College’s Master of Arts in Intercultural Studies challenges students to develop their ability to communicate cross-culturally. Through this program, students learn how to craft a message in a way that is relevant to other cultures. Furthermore, students are equipped with strategies to engage in a dynamically changing world.

This program can be completed through three intensive summer sessions on Wheaton’s campus, two intensive mid-winter break sessions, and eight units of distance learning classes completed while teaching in the country of assignment. Some individuals may be able to transfer credits from previous coursework in place of taking distance classes.

Prerequisites
To be considered for admission, students must hold a bachelor’s degree with a minimum 2.75 grade-point average on a 4.0 scale and must take the GRE.

Requirements
Students must complete a minimum of 40 units for the Master of Arts in Intercultural Studies, including 16 credits of core classes and 24 credits of electives. Credits from the TEFL Certificate awarded after ELIC's August training are transferable for credit into this degree program
