As a teacher with the Summer Teaching Program, you will
serve on a team of about 5-6 people providing intensive English training to Mongolian English teachers.
Each instructor on your team will teach to a class of about sixteen adults and will spend three hours each weekday
morning in classroom instruction focusing on listening and speaking.
A team leader familiar with Mongolia will supervise your teaching and provide you and your team members with support
and encouragement throughout the program.
Afternoons and evenings are full of other activities including methodology lectures, which are given by the team
leader with the assistance of the team, and cultural demonstrations where the team uses skits, stories and other
visual methods to provide insights into aspects of North American culture and history.
The connections you'll make with Mongolian English teachers will provide the foundation needed to help shape
the future of this great country. What you'll share and teach to these leaders will be passed on
to their own colleagues and students for years to come.
