Laos
ELIC sent a pioneering team of three teachers into Laos – officially known as Lao PDR, in 1996 at the invitation of the Ministry of Finance in Vientiane. Our highly regarded English teaching teams are an integral part of the university campus education programs. You can participate in shaping the future of this amazing country—through educational excellence and through the hope and joy that your life models.
ELIC teachers are privileged to currently serve in three cities. In Vientiane, our teachers serve at the National University of Laos, along with a second Teacher Training School. In the southern city of Pakse we have faculty both at the Teacher Training College and at Champassak University. Our third site is in Savannakhet where we serve at the Savannakhet Teacher Training College. As respected faculty members, we have the privilege of teaching English to local residents, government officials, current and future educators, and the top students from virtually every province in the country. We currently have a team of 18 serving in Laos year-round and additionally provide a summer team through our Summer Teaching Program. We have been urgently requested to send teaching teams to every area of the country and are looking for qualified candidates to add to our vibrant Lao team.
