Mainland Program

Make an impact this summer as you teach a 10-day program in China. Friendships will come and memories will be made as you bring your students a skill that they need for a successful future—English.

We are no longer accepting applications for Summer 2021, but we are looking forward to Summer 2022 programs!

Young students in China work extremely hard to prepare for their futures and much of this hope for their futures fall into exam results. As an Engage teacher, you can encourage these students that their worth is not in their test scores and that they are unique and creative individuals. The China Mainland program consists of a 10-day English program for middle and high school students. After a 5-day orientation, you will move to your first teaching location for the summer and will have a couple of days to get to know the school, your hosts, and the area you will live in before you start teaching. You will be in the classroom for a few hours in the morning and afternoon each day, and when you’re not teaching, you will prepare lessons, rest, spend time in fellowship with your team, and visit some of the incredible sites the region has to offer.
