Teacher Training Program (TTP)

Build deep friendships with Chinese educators while you teach them the foundations of being a successful English teacher. Pass on your skills as you teach the teachers of China.

We are no longer accepting applications for Summer 2021, but we are looking forward to Summer 2022 programs!

For over 30 years, ELIC has been invited by the Chinese government to train over 75,000 English teachers in conversational English and teaching methodologies. This summer, you have the opportunity to reach the unreached by meeting and working with these English teachers from some of the most remote villages across the nation. In an honor/shame society where there is a high emphasis on success, these teachers will thrive when you show them their value as educators, teach them to have fun in the classroom, and show them hope that exists outside of a successful career. When you are not teaching, you will be able to explore the city, talk with locals, and experience the local culture. You will have the unique opportunity to pour into the lives of these dear teachers, building deep friendships and bringing hope and love. The encouragement and creativity you offer will be invaluable to them, and in turn, you will be blessed by their love and generosity.
