The young people in Tunisia are searching, as most children are, for identity and affirmation. This summer, our partners will run a conversational English camp for students from elementary up to potentially high school. Each day will be slightly different, as you will have some beach days, some sports days, and some days more focused on English teaching. The teaching, three weeks of intensive immersion, is mostly done in the morning and students stay for lunch at the school with fun activities or outings in the evening.
The goal of the camp is to provide students with a chance to learn and practice English in a fun, interactive, camp-like way. As you get to know your students, you will build friendships quickly and create memories that your students (and you!) will remember for the rest of their lives.

Though teaching children doesn’t fit the typical model that we have followed for more than three decades, when we saw the devastation that the war in Syria was creating, we knew we had to use our expertise to help. Many of our students have never been in a classroom because they have only known war for their entire lives.
