The name 'Mongolia' has always stirred up visions of the
untamed and exotic. And in 1990, an ELIC teaching team
brought a new language and an everlasting hope to this
amazing country for the very first time. Even today, Mongolia
seems like the end-of-the-earth where you begin to wonder
if you've stepped into another century rather than another
country. Its' capital, Ulaanbaatar, has the look and feel
of a 1950's European city while the countryside is spotted
with traditional tent-like homes called gers. Many Mongolian
people groups have never been touched by the hope and
joy you and your English language have to offer, but they
have hearts that are warm, open, and seeking. |
