Mail Center Operator and Buyer


ELIC is accepting applications for the Mail Center Operator and Buyer position in our U.S. office. This individual will proactively work alongside ELIC teams to handle all mailing and shipping needs. The Mail Center Operator and Buyer will coordinate with USPS and other shipping vendors to distribute mail that comes in and out of ELIC’s main office. This individual will sort mail and insure the mail is delivered properly. The Mail Center Operator and Buyer will serve as buyer for office supplies and items needed for the main office and maintains relationships with ELIC vendors. This position is part-time averaging 20 hours a week with the potential for additional hours during peak mailing seasons.


Position Requirements

  • High School Diploma
  • Two or more years of office experience
  • Keyboard / computer skills
  • Postal equipment ability / aptitude
  • Mild to moderate lifting and standing
  • Capable of representing ELIC in a professional capacity
  • Fully agrees to ELIC’s community covenant and statement of faith

This is a part-time, non-exempt position located in ELIC’s Fort Collins, Colorado office. Preference will be given to applicants with mail room and purchasing experience.

Mobilization Specialist


A Mobilization Specialist is the active face of ELIC to key audiences who desire to serve abroad and/or who desire to partner with the organization. They will cast vision about service with ELIC, demonstrate how life is shared in an overseas context, and encourage those people to move forward.



Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develop strategic, creative avenues that generate new or renewed interest in ELIC programs
  • Research and plan domestic travel and events that cast vision for ELIC programs
  • Generate new leads that translate into committed overseas teachers
  • Communicate effectively with advocates in the planning and execution of major, mobilization events
  • Encourage leads to take steps towards a commitment to serve overseas
  • Increase the general awareness of ELIC through various avenues – travel, alumni networks, social media, advocates
  • Speak publicly (5 to 90 minutes at a time) about the vision of ELIC in various settings 
  • Manage and strengthen lead generating regions and accounts
  • Manage and strengthen high-level, organizational partnerships
  • Create engaging marketing strategies



Qualifications

  • Committed Christian
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communication, public speaking, intercultural studies or business preferred
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% of the year
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate others through written, verbal, and face-to-face conversation
  • Effective self-starter. Willing to embrace team and individual goals
  • Attentive to details and the implementation of ideas
  • Highly-motivated, adaptable. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced context
  • Social media, business travel, event planning and public speaking experience preferred
